Caleb Rothe – Percussion Director, Arranger

Caleb Rothe has been working with Ayala High School since 1997. He has been a percussion educator in Southern California since 1997, working with more than 20 different high schools, independent percussion ensembles, and drum and bugle corps. He is a nationally sought-after arranger and has written for various groups across the United States; having written arrangements for groups at the elementary, middle school, high school, and collegiate levels.
Caleb served as principle percussionist of the Cal Poly Pomona University Wind Ensemble from 1998 to 2003 and has also performed with the Irvine Valley College Wind Symphony. In addition to his concert performances Caleb has been active as a studio musician, and has performed on several CDs and film soundtracks.
Caleb endorses Pro-Mark sticks and mallets, Sabian cymbals, and Yamaha musical instruments and accessories. He is a member of Pro-Mark’s Indoor Percussion Development team. Caleb was also a founding member of the Southern California Percussion Alliance. He is a member of the SCPA Executive Board and serves as Secretary. Caleb is also a member of the Winter Guard International Percussion Advisory Board. His ensembles have collectively won 6 WGI World Championship medals, been WGI World Championship Finalists 13 times, been Regional Finalists 36 times and Regional Champions 14 times, in addition to being named a Bands of America Grand National Finalist in 2004. Locally his ensembles have won 8 SCPA Championship medals and over 40 first place awards.
Caleb received his Bachelors degree in Computer Science from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in the spring of 2003.
Caleb lives in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
